King size. This client had a dying redwood tree in her backyard and rather than turning it into mulch, she kept a section of the tree and had us mill it into slabs. After milling the lumber, we kiln dried the slabs and began work on this bed. The frame rails slide into mortises in the headboard and attach to the footer with cleat hooks. The client also requested a wave inlay pattern in the headboard, which we routed and filled with black epoxy. The slats are the only part of the bed not made from her redwood tree. They are made from alder. Oil based topcoat applied by hand. Headboard is 52" tall.
